CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Several media outlets are reporting that the Oakland Raiders are interested in getting Carson Palmer from the Bengals.
Palmer said earlier this year that he wanted to be traded, or he would retire. The Bengals did not trade him and he retired. The Bengals drafted quarterback Andy Dalton in the 2011 NFL Draft.
Oakland quarterback Jason Campbell left Sunday's game against Cleveland with a broken collarbone and could miss the remainder of the season. That leaves the Raiders with Kyle Boller as the started and Terrelle Pryor as the backup. Pryor just became eligible after a five-game suspension.
Bengals owner Mike Brown reiterated again last week that he is not trading Palmer.
Bengals.com reported Thursday that Brown said he doesn't plan to make any trades before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday.
After Tuesday, the next opportunity to trade any player will be the spring.
