CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The Cincinnati Mercy Neighborhood Ministries is getting ready to host their 4th Annual "Taste of the Neighborhood".
The Fourth Annual "Taste of the Neighborhood" will be held Sunday, October 30th from Noon – 3pm at the Alumni Hall of Purcell Marian High School in East Walnut Hills. The "Taste" offers something for everyone. The event features samplings from local restaurants, a silent auction and basket raffle and a children's area featuring treats and Halloween crafts.
The event will also feature music from Rockin Ron from WGRR and Planet Dance will perform "Thriller". They will also have the first ever "Happy Halloween Trail" featuring games, prizes and a costume parade. A grand prize raffle includes cash prizes of $1000, $500 and $250.
Mercy Neighborhood Ministries operates in the Cincinnati neighborhoods of Walnut Hills and East Walnut Hills and is a multi-purpose human service agency, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy. MNM enhances the lives of seniors by assisting them with medical and legal services, spiritual care, visitation, counseling, food and transportation. MNM also assists its clients by empowering them to build upon their skills in order to take charge of their lives. Education offerings include computer literacy, computer job training, GED. Training education and employment is also provided to women who strive to be home health aides that will provide compassionate home health care to older adults living in inner city neighborhoods.
