Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear made a stop in Newport Wednesday morning.

The Governor, along with his fellow Democratic candidates are on a bus tour around the state to rally support for election day.

The Governor spoke with FOX19 about the importance of job creation and Ohio Governor John Kasich openly admitting to stealing jobs from across the river; like Omnicare, which is moving its headquarters to Cincinnati.

The Governor says he does not blame Kasich for wanting jobs in Ohio, and Kentucky is going to fight to keep every job it can while creating new ones.

"Folks here in Northern Kentucky have come together as a region, they work together, they forget their artificial boundaries of county lines and city lines and instead step up as a group to move the whole region forward, that's really paying off," said Beshear.

Governor Beshear also pointed out there is always competition among states for jobs but Kentucky is continuing to grow and he guarantees the state will win more jobs than it loses.
