MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Middletown Police have charged a 10 year old girl with carrying a knife on school property.
The Wildwood School principal called police after she found a large pocket knife in the pocket of one of the students.
The 10-year-old student had shown the knife to other students in the school, saying she had "brought it for her protection and that if someone were to mess with her, she would stab them."
The other students then reported it to the principal.
Police charged the 10-year-old with Illegal Conveyance Of A Deadly Weapon Onto School Property and transported her home and released into the custody of her mother.
Police are continuing the investigation.
