Plane flying to Las Vegas makes emergency landing at CVG

HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - A plane flying to Las Vegas made an emergency landing at the Cincinnati Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG). This happened after 11 a.m. Wednesday.

According to a passenger on the plane, Flight 2345 originated at CVG, and one hour into the flight, the plane had a hydraulic failure and had to turn around. The crew was preparing for a belly landing. Fire trucks lined the runway.

When the plane landed safely, a passenger on the plane told FOX19 that there was applause from the passengers because they didn't crash.

The plane was a Delta A320. The Delta flight from CVG to Las Vegas was a direct flight. A CVG spokesperson said the plane taxied to the gate and the passengers were deplaned.
