CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati mayor Mark Mallory and city leaders kicked off a multimedia campaign to save energy, money and the earth.
"What's Your Green Umbrella?" is an effort to register 30,000 households on a free website to save 300,000 tons of carbon emissions.
The primary component of the campaign is the website www.greenumbrella.org, which is informative and interactive and show exactly how much energy is saved by performing specific tasks, and calculates the reported activity of registered users to they can see actual environmental impact and cost savings of their actions.
The campaign kicked off Thursday morning at the Cincinnati Zoo.
