West Chester officer arraigned on obstruction charges

HAMILTON, OH (FOX19) - A West Chester Police Officer was in court Thursday to be arraigned on attempted tampering with evidence and obstructing official business charges.

Nicholas Busemeyer was indicted by a Butler County Grand Jury on Oct. 13.

Busemeyer was released on his own recognizance. His next court date is Nov. 10.

Butler County Prosecutor Mike Gmoser would only say that the case involves Busemeyer leaking confidential information during an investigation. Gmoser would not say what the investigation was.

The case was handed over to the prosecutor's office by the West Chester Police Department.
