Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis sounded off on the Carson Palmer saga on Wednesday, saying the quarterback decided "at some point last year" that he didn't want to be in Cincinnati.
Palmer was traded to the Oakland Raiders last week after saying he would retire if he was not traded by the Bengals.
According to a report by Yahoo! Sports, Lewis said, "At what point did Carson quit? At some point last year he decided he didn't want to be here. This didn't happen at the end of the season. There was a point earlier on when he said, ‘This isn't the place for me.'"
Lewis also added that he wasn't "talking people into playing" and that he became done with the drama and the shows.
