Suspected murderer and fugitive caught in Warren County
WARREN COUNTY, OH (FOX19) -
A man is in Warren County Jail after escaping from a Sheriff's Office in Florida and leading police on a high speed chase in Franklin Township.
Rondell Junior Reed, 52, and an other inmate escaped from Florida on Monday, October 24th. The other suspect was arrested shortly after. Reed was being held for charges of first degree murder.
A nationwide manhunt began after Reed was still on the loose.
Police in Warren County tried to pull over a suspected impaired driver Saturday morning around 2 a.m. The driver refused to pull over, and a traffic pursuit began on Interstate 75 Northbound. The suspect reached speeds of 100 miles per hour. The pursuit ended when the driver, Rondell Junior Reed, crashed into a pole.
Police arrested the suspect. He is being held in Warren County Jail on multiple charges.
