Call to Duty ceremony held for National Guard members

BLUE ASH, OH (FOX19) -

A call to duty ceremony was held Monday for 87 Airmen from the Ohio Air National Guard's 123rd Air Control Squadron.

The Airmen were mobilized earlier this month for active duty and will deploy next month in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

The ceremony was held Monday morning at Muntz Hall on the campus of University of Cincinnati Blue Ash.

On Sunday, Oct. 2 the Airmen began mobilization training at their home station in Blue Ash. Upon completion of mobilization training, the unit will deploy to Qatar to provide air defense of the Arabian Gulf, as well as command and control functions for Afghanistan.
