CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Cincinnati State Trustees and faculty members of the American Association of University Professors are meeting this week to discuss a proposed collective bargaining agreement.
A tentative agreement was reached Tuesday between the board of trustees and the union.
If the trustees agree to ratify the agreement and the teacher's union agrees to ratify the contract, it will end almost two months of tense negotiations between the two bodies.
The contract between Cincinnati State and the AAUP expired Sept. 5. AAUP members conducted a week-long strike from Sept. 23 to Sept. 30. They have been working since then under terms of the old contract.
The AAUP represents about 200 full-time faculty members at Cincinnati State. The college also employs about 575 part-time adjuncts and approximately 325 administrative/staff workers.
