CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - The American Association of University Professors voted to approve a tentative agreement with Cincinnati State University on Wednesday.
The tentative agreement was reached between the union and the school's board of trustees during a meeting Tuesday.
The Board of Trustees is expected to vote on the agreement on Thursday. If they vote to approve the agreement, it will end almost two months of negotiations between the two bodies.
The contract between Cincinnati State and the AAUP expired Sept. 5. AAUP members conducted a week-long strike from Sept. 23 to Sept. 30. They have been working since then under terms of the old contract.
The AAUP represents about 200 full-time faculty members at Cincinnati State. The college also employs about 575 part-time adjuncts and approximately 325 administrative/staff workers.
