Police: Woman held at knifepoint before in-car robbery

SYMMES TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a kidnapping and aggravated robbery that happened in Symmes Township Friday night.

At about 8:15 pm, police say a woman walked to her car from the Plaza De Sol Market on the 8700 block of Fields Ertle Rd. When she began to drive away, another woman, reportedly hiding in the back seat, held a knife to her neck.

The woman was reportedly forced to drive west for several miles on Fields Ertle Rd. to a parking lot of a church near the corner Stillwind Dr. and Fields Ertle Rd. Once there, the suspect punched the victim in the face several times before taking her purse. The suspect then fled on foot.

The purse contained the woman's wallet, cell phone, and approximately $500 worth of cash. The victim suffered several small cuts on her lip and a small laceration on the right side of her neck.

Police describe the suspect as a Hispanic woman in her 20s, about 5 feet tall, medium build, with black, shoulder length hair. At the time of the incident she was wearing a black shirt, blue jeans, and black gloves.
