Woman rescued from vehicle before it explodes

HAMILTON TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Warren County Dispatchers say that a woman trapped in her vehicle was rescued before her car exploded in Hamilton Township Saturday afternoon.

Dispatchers say at about 4:00 pm, Alyssa Moore, 20, crashed her 2007 Toyota Yaris into a tree on the 9100 block of Morrow-Cozaddale Rd, leaving her entrapped. Shortly afterwards, her car caught fire.

Police then say good Samaritans, Ira Perry and Jonathan Baker, both from Morrow, were able to rescue Moore from the vehicle before her car exploded.

Aircare was called to the scene to transport the woman to University Hospital. She is currently in stable condition.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
