Woman arrested for stealing money from church offering plate

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Norwood woman is charged with theft after police say she stole money from a church's offering plate.

A witness caught Cynthia Gfroerer, 53, taking a dollar bill and a $500 check from the offering plate at Crossroads Community Church on Sunday.

She then attempted to leave the building.

She was charged with misdemeanor theft and released from the Hamilton County Justice Center on her own recognizance.
