WEST PRICE HILL, OH (FOX19) - Four adults and four children got out of a West Price Hill home safely after a fire early Monday morning.
It happened around 1:30 a.m. in the 1200 block of Gilsey Avenue.
Fire officials say the residents heard their smoke alarm before they escaped.
A dog was trapped inside the house and did not survive.
Flames were visible on the first and second floors when firefighters arrived on the scene. By the time the fire was extinguished, the home suffered about $40,000 in damage.
Fire investigators are still searching for the cause of the fire.
