Homeowner holds burglar in headlock until police arrive

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - A man is facing charges after police say he tried to steal copper from a home, but was caught by the homeowner.

Brian Jones, 41, is charged with aggravated burglary and felonious assault.

The incident occurred Saturday in the 4400 block of Ivanhoe Avenue.

According to court documents, the homeowner and his girlfriend heard a noise in their basement and went downstairs to find Jones trying to steal copper piping.

Jones swung the pipe at the homeowner and missed, so the homeowner wrestled with him, holding him in a headlock while the girlfriend called police.

Officers arrived and arrested Jones. He was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center.
