CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - City leaders held a press conference Monday morning to talk about additional resources available to assist homeowners facing foreclosure.
Known as the "Restoring Stability" program, the Home Ownership Center of Greater Cincinnati offers local homeowners an opportunity to access over $600 million in funds.
The Ohio Housing Finance Agency (OHFA) administers the funds statewide to help Ohio homeowners avoid foreclosure.
Greater Cincinnati homeowners can be among the first of over 30,000 families to be helped based on the program changes. These resources help homeowners, especially those who are unemployed, who haven't been able to use existing foreclosure prevention programs.
Homeowners may begin submitting applications online at www.savethedream.ohio.gov or over the phone at 1-888-404-4674. Homeowners can also schedule an appointment for application assistance at the Home Ownership Center. Homeowners should call 961-2800 to make an appointment.
