COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police in Colerain Township arrested a man Tuesday after a brief foot chase that started behind an elementary school.
According to police, Daniel J. Carnes, 20, entered the Cramer's True Value hardware store on the 11900 block of Hamilton Ave. with a gun and demanded money. After receiving an undetermined amount of money, Carnes ran south on Hamilton Ave.
Responding officers from Colerain Township and the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office then spotted Carnes behind Pleasant Run Elementary School. This led to a short foot chase that ended with Carnes being taken into custody.
Carnes was positively identified at the scene, and is currently at the Hamilton County Justice Center.
