A man has been sentenced for attempting to murder his girlfriend in June.
Robin Chester, 25, was sentenced to the maximum sentence of ten years in jail for stabbing his then-girlfriend 35 times with a meat cleaver.
The victim, Jennifer Miller, says that the sentence is not enough to make up for what she went through.
"It let me down," said Jennifer Miller. "I feel like he should have received more than ten years. But, the system is set up so that it can only do what it was able to do at this time. I think that needs to be changed and it takes people fighting for that so that's what I intend to do."
Chester was also charged with felonious assault and kidnapping, but those charges were dropped as part of a plea deal.
