GOSHEN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police say a man who murdered his stepfather Tuesday morning in Loveland is the same suspect who abducted a woman from a local college and led police on a chase on Wednesday.
On Tuesday at 3 a.m., Goshen Township police were called to the 200 block of Mindy Lane in Loveland.
Officers found Richard Parsons, 69, dead at the scene.
Police say Richard Parson's stepson, Nathan Parsons, 29, of Williamsburg, is responsible for the murder.
Investigators believe the motive in the offense was robbery. After committing the murder, Nathan Parsons stole several household items and credit cards from the scene and the victim's pick up truck.
Nathan Parsons was arrested on Wednesday by Ohio State Highway Patrol. Police say Parsons tried to abduct a woman from Southern State Community College and then led police on a chase.
Nathan Parsons was interviewed by Goshen Township Police while in the Brown County Jail and confessed to the murder and theft of property. He is being held without bond.
He is facing one count of aggravated murder and one count of aggravated robbery in the Goshen Township case. He's also charged with failure to comply and abduction in the Brown County case.
