MIDDLETOWN, OH (FOX19) - Middletown Police have charged a man with the theft of over $8,000 from the Central Academy Parent Teacher Organization.
Police began investigating the theft from the organization when the school discovered they were unable to fund activities that are usually paid from the PTO account. After an investigation, police discovered that cash had been taken from fund raisers.
The investigation concluded with Robert J. Stamper, 40, being charged with Grand Theft. Stamper had been the Treasurer of the organization.
Police say Stamper had stolen $8,150.
