SHARONVILLE, OH (FOX19) - Kentucky State Police troopers are investigating the death of an Owenton woman who died Friday in a crash with a tractor-trailer on U.S. 127 in Owen County.
For reasons troopers don't yet know, the vehicle driven by 66 year old Beverly B. Minch crossed the center-line near the 2900 block of U.S. 127, crashing into a passing tractor-trailer. Minch was pronounced dead at the scene by the Owen County Coroner at 5:17 p.m. and the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured. Minch was wearing her seatbelt during the collision.
The ongoing investigation is being conducted by Trooper Dusty Corbin, a collision reconstructionist. Trooper Corbin was assisted at the scene by: Owen County Rescue, Owen County Fire department, Owen County EMS, Owen County Sheriff's office, Owenton Police department, and the Owen County Coroner.
