CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - An inmate who escaped from custody on Monday morning has been caught.
Jose Ramon Fernandez was being transferred to Georgia by Transportation Services, a private transport company, early Monday morning when he took off. He was found and arrested at about 12:30 p.m. Police did not release any further details.
Transportation Services was in Hamilton County to deliver Ryan Lloyd, who was wanted on a drug possession warrant, to the Justice Center. While dropping off Lloyd, police say Fernandez and Walter Rode, 36, escaped from custody by slipping off their handcuffs and running off.
Rode was captured shortly after and charged with escape.
Investigators did not say where the inmates were being transferred from. They were not in custody of the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
