Hundreds of people lined up beginning at midnight Monday morning to get a Thanksgiving dinner from the Freestore Foodbank.
The Freestore expects to distribute boxes of all the fixings to about 23,000 families this week.
Each household receives a box of food, a bag of produce, and either a chicken or turkey (depending on family size). While larger families receive larger boxes, every family receives the following: canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned cranberry or pumpkin, stuffing or rice, onions, potatoes, apples, macaroni and cheese, and brownie mix or other dessert.
Distribution dates and times will go as follows:
- Monday, November 21, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Tuesday, November 22, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
- Wednesday, November 23, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Giveaways take place at 112 East Liberty Street in Over-the-Rhine.
