Bengal players to help work Freestore Foodbank

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

The Cincinnati Bengals are lending a hand to those in need as players volunteer to help work at the Freestore Foodbank.

On Monday the Freestore Foodbank kicked off the annual Thanksgiving holiday food box distribution by helping out 2,973 families, 8,472 people, and 4,379 children, which they claim are record numbers for the start of the program.

On Tuesday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. food donations will be handed out again, and there will be some special assistance from the Cincinnati Bengals who will serve alongside volunteers from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The event will take place at the Freestore Foodbank Customer Connection Center at 112 East Liberty St. in Over-the-Rhine.

The Freestore Foodbank anticipates serving around 23,000 families throughout several counties in the Tri-State. Any community members interested in helping can visit www.freestorefoodbank.org to learn about donating and volunteering opportunities.
