(FOX19) - Showers will continue through Tuesday's morning commute, leading to more showers and possible thunderstorms by the afternoon.
FOX19 Meteorologist Katy Morgan says some thunderstorms could be severe with damaging winds and very heavy rain. Overall, the Tri-state will see an additional 1 to 2 inches of rain before the heavy activity moves out.
Showers will taper off into early Wednesday.
The rain is bringing a warm front that will give us temperatures in the 60's. Wet roadways are causing a slow morning commute, with traffic slow in several spots.
