Police: Woman stole drugs from Alzheimer's patients

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) -

A Liberty Township woman is facing several charges after police say she stole prescription medicine from Alzheimer's patients.

Peggy Ballinger is charged with two counts of theft, two counts of deception to obtain a dangerous drug and two counts of illegal processing of drug documents.

According to court documents, she took schedule III drugs from patients at Alois Alzheimer's Center and used a preprinted blank prescription to obtain a dangerous drug.

She then indicated to other staff members that she took the drugs from the residents, and admitted it to the director of nursing.

She was taken to the Hamilton County Justice Center and has been released on her own recognizance.
