A Middletown man has been arrested in Indiana for driving drunk and speeding over 100 miles per hour.
According to Indiana State Police, Robert Jahns, 36, was driving northbound on I-69 and clocked on a radar gun going 119 miles per hour. The State Trooper said that Jahns was traveling to a family gathering in Battle Creek, Michigan. Jahns was also believed to be under the influence of alcohol and tested above the legal limit at .08 percent.
Jahns is currently out on bond pending his hearing. He is currently charged with operating while intoxicated.
Indiana State Police remind drivers that 135 people were killed in Indiana last year as a result of impaired drivers. They also say that nearly 25 percent of all fatal crashes were alcohol related.
