AVONDALE, OH (FOX19) - The Red Cross is assisting three people after a two-alarm fire hit their home in Avondale Friday night.
Firefighters were called to the 3500 block of Eden Ave. at around 9:30 pm to reports of a house on fire. Initial reports were that there was a heavy fire from a two-story, occupied, single-family dwelling. The occupant of the house was alerted to the fire when a passerby knocked on their door.
Firefighters were able to knock down the fire in about 15 minutes.
Crews say the fire was confined to the second floor and attic areas. Damage is estimated at $20,000. No one was injured at the scene.
Investigators are still trying to figure out the cause of the fire.
