Vote for Dalton, Benson to win weekly awards

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton and running back Cedric Benson are both up for weekly awards this week.

Dalton is one of five nominees for Pepsi Rookie of the Week after completing 67.7 percent of his passes for 270 yards and a touchdown against the Browns.

Dalton is up against Washington running back Roy Helu, Carolina quarterback Cam Newton, Arizona cornerback/punt returner Patrick Peterson, and Houston defensive end J.J. Watt in this week's voting.

This is Dalton's fifth Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week nomination. He previously won the award after the win against Tennessee on Nov. 6.

The winner will be announced Friday on

Benson is one of three finalists for FedEx Ground NFL Player of the week. Benson totaled 106 yards and a touchdown on 21 carries and added 24 yards on four carries against Cleveland.

This is Benson's first FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week nomination of the season. He's up against Chris Johnson with the Titans and Beanie Wells of the Cardinals.

Fans can vote from 9 a.m. on Tuesday through 3 p.m. on Friday to determine the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. The winners will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on
