Man indicted on murder; kidnapping charges

BATAVIA, OH (FOX19) - A Clermont County Grand Jury indicted a Williamsburg man on charges related to the strangling death of his stepfather and to the kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend.

Nathan Parsons, 29, was indicted on three counts of Aggravated Murder, Aggravated Robbery, Aggravated Burglary, Kidnapping, and Failure to Comply with the Order or Signal of a Police Officer.

If convicted of Aggravated Murder, Parsons could face the death penalty.

Parsons is accused of killing his stepfather, Richard Parsons, 69, on November 15th. The next day, police say Parsons kidnapped his ex-girlfriend Cassie Crawford from the parking lot of the southern campus of Southern State Community College. Police were able to catch Parsons following a short chase in Adams County.

A trial date has not been set for Parsons.
