COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police are investigating a strong arm robbery of an elderly woman that happened outside of the Main Street Market in Colerain Township Wednesday afternoon.
Police say that at around 1:30 pm, Alberta Helton, 81, was entering the market located on the 11800 block of Hamilton Ave. when a white male exiting the market grabbed her purse. The man then took the brown purse and fled the south side of the building.
The man was last seen running into the wooded area on Pippin Rd. K-9 units were able to track the suspect to the 11800 block of Kit Run Ct., which is located directly behind the Main Street Market. Police say the suspect possibly fled in a full size, gray, older model Ford or Mercury 4-door vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male, 23 years old, 5'10", approximately 140 pounds, and had a goatee. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing blue work pants and a gray hoodie.
The woman was not hurt during the robbery. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Section is investigating the incident.
