CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - It's time again for the most popular off-season event for the Cincinnati Reds.
Redsfest is this weekend at the Duke Energy Convention Center. Gates open at 4 p.m. Friday and remain open until 10:30 p.m. On Saturday, the event runs from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Redsfest is an opportunity for fans to get up close and personal with their favorites Reds, past and present. Players and coaches are introduced Friday at 5:30 p.m. A new 'Mr. Red' mascot will be unveiled at 6 p.m. Click here for a complete schedule of events.
The event also features interactive games for kids of all ages and hard to find memorabilia. FOX19's Katy Morgan will also be participating in a celebrity poker game.
Proceeds from Redsfest benefit the Reds Community Fund. Single day tickets are $17 for adults and $7 for kids. Two-day tickets are $25 for adults and $12 for kids. Purchase tickets by clicking here.
There reports earlier this week that second baseman Brandon Phillips, who is seeking to sign a long term contract with the Reds, would skip this weekend's activities. However, Phillips laughed off those reports, saying he will attend Redsfest.
