A record number of fans went to the Redsfest at the Duke Energy Convention Center over the weekend.
Officials recorded a record breaking 23,737 fans at Redsfest on December 2 and 3. The previous record for the event was 21,781 in 2010.
"Thank you to our fans for turning out in record numbers for Redsfest," said Bob Castellini, Reds President and CEO. "Your loyalty and support makes Redsfest the best fan festival in all of Major League Baseball."
All of the proceeds from Redsfest went to the Reds Community Fund and its baseball themed outreach programs.
Redsfest featured countless highlights including over 70 current and former players, coaches and broadcasters participating in autograph sessions, photograph booths, and kids-only press conferences.
Members of the Reds team were also given awards. Joey Votto received his second Ernie Lombardi Award as the Reds MVP, Johnny Cueto won the Johnny Vander Meer Outstanding Pitcher Award and Bronson Arroyo won the Joe Nuxhall Good Guy Award.
