MONTGOMERY, OH (FOX19) - Drivers are ignoring a warning from police in Montgomery when it comes to the northbound I-71 ramp to east bound I-275 and the westbound I-275 ramp to southbound I-71.
Three accidents have shutdown the ramps so far in December.
During the last weeks of November, emergency personnel responded to 43 accidents on those two ramps. That number put the accident count in the City of Montgomery to 80 for the month. Police say the average for the month is typically between 20 and 30.
The posted speed limit is 30, but police say speed and the wet weather are primary factors in the accidents.
Montgomery Police are working with ODOT to get more signs at the entrances to the ramps.
