Testimony Ends in Engelhardt Trial

Testimony ended today in the trial of a Colerain Township man accused of killing his mother.

Fred Engelhardt's attorney argued he should be convicted of manslaughter, and not murder, because his mother drove him to kill her.

Police say Engelhardt used a hammer to beat his 57 year old mother to death in 2002.

Her body was found months later in a cistern behind the home they shared.

Hamilton County judge Norbert Nadel is now considering a verdict.
