WEST CHESTER, OH (FOX19) - A company based in West Chester has sued the Internet's largest daily deal site.
BidMyCrib.com filed a lawsuit in Chicago federal court on Tuesday accusing Groupon of altering e-mails of agreements with merchants after both sides had accepted the terms, according to Bloomberg.
The suit claims Groupon violated the Stored Communications Act and seeks unspecified damages.
The complaint states that Groupon changed at least one section of the merchant agreement with BidMyCrib by adding another sentence regarding voucher expiration dates.
Groupon, based in Chicago, has been providing deals for restaurants, retail stores, services and more since 2008.
According to its website, BidMyCrib's corporate office is in West Chester. The company specializes in online, project request and bidding systems that allow customers to manage their property remodeling and maintenance projects.
