DJs camping out to collect toys

FLORENCE, KY (FOX19) -

Several B-105 DJs are battling the cold weather and camping out for a great cause.

B-105's morning show DJs Chris Carr, Maverick and Stattman will be at Turfway Park for 54 consecutive hours collecting donations for the Toys for Tots Foundation.

Donations of new, unwrapped toys are being collected from now until noon on Saturday, Dec. 10.

"Bring on the strongest elements of winter," said Carr. "Nothing is stopping the B-105 audience and Chris Carr & Company from making sure every child in the Tri-State has a toy this Christmas. We'll be hunkered down, camping out at Turfway Park with the U.S. Marines until our mission is complete."

Camp Carr for Kids remains one of the morning show's favorite charities to work with. Not only do they get to support a great cause but they also get to have fun with their listeners.

All donations go directly to Toys for Tots, which distributes the toys to less fortunate children in need. Toys for Tots aim to deliver hope to less fortunate youth, to ultimately assist America's children in becoming responsible, patriotic and productive citizens.
