Big Boy gets special throne at Aronoff Center for the Arts

CINCINNATI, OH (FOX19) - Frisch's iconic Big Boy statue has been placed into the lobby of the Aronoff Center for the Arts where he'll make his home until December 24th in commemoration of the world premiere of Frisch's Presents The New Nutcracker.

During the placing of the statue Big Boy was greeted by his close, personal friend, the Nutcracker, dancers from the Cincinnati Ballet and a large crew to help him to his holiday throne.

Since 1974 Frisch's has sponsored the annual production of the Nutcracker, seen by over 1,000,000 people since its inception. It has traditionally been the most opulent production of the company's annual season known for ornate costumes and sets and an enormous cast which includes international dancers, supernumeraries from the community and over 100 children.

Cincinnati Ballet Artistic Director Victoria Morgan debuts a spectacular all-new production featuring new choreography, 200 Costumes, 20 elaborate sets, 15 scenes and more than 150 children's roles. Performances December 15-24. Visit for tickets and information.
