Man accused of killing girlfriend, dumping body appears in court

LEBANON, OH (FOX19) - A man accused of killing his girlfriend in Warren County and leaving her body in a state park had a preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Richard Snyder, 42, is charged with murdering Nicole Barry, 29. Her body was found on Thanksgiving Day in a remote area of Caesar Creek State Park.

Snyder was arrested by U.S. Marshals after checking into the VA Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri.

During Wednesday's video hearing, a judge appointed a public defender for Snyder, who remains in the Warren County Jail on $1 million bond.
