Shooting in North Fairmount puts school on lockdown

NORTH FAIRMOUNT, OH (FOX19) - A shooting in North Fairmount Wednesday afternoon briefly put a North Fairmount school on lockdown.

At around 3:45pm, a man was shot in the foot on the 3600 block of McHenry. Police were able to transport the victim to the hospital.

As police searched the area for the shooter, Roll Hill Academy, located a few blocks away, was put on lockdown. Most of the students had already left the school, but the Boys and Girls Club After-School program was told to stay inside. They were eventually allowed to leave.

Police have not located the shooter.
