Bookstore book drive benefits Big Brothers Big Sister

Barnes & Noble in West Chester is hosting their sixth annual book drive to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Butler County.

They have already collected over 1,000 books. Barnes & Noble employees have picked out age appropriate books that are available at all of the check-out lines at the store. Customers can pick out a book to donate as they pay for their purchases.

Gail Allinsmith, Barnes & Noble customer relations manager, says the stores' employees are excited to be involved in collecting books for the children Big Brothers Big Sisters serves. Over the past five years, Barnes & Noble customers have donated more than 10,000 books to Big Brothers Big Sisters.

Not only will the books benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters, but they will also be used to supplement the traveling libraries used at the 18 Site-Based Mentoring Programs Big Brothers Big Sisters operates throughout Butler County.
