Miami holding fall commencement

OXFORD, OH (FOX19) - Miami University is holding its fall commencement on Friday.

The school will award 894 diplomas at 3 p.m. in Millett Hall. President David Hodge will preside over the ceremony.

Charlotte Newman Goldy, associate professor of political science and the 2011 Effective Educator, will give the commencement address.

The winner of the E. Phillips Knox Teaching Award, given annually to a faculty who has demonstrated excellence and innovation in teacher at the undergraduate level, will also be announced.
