Tens of thousands of shoppers are flocking to area malls as Christmas day draws ever closer.
At Kenwood Towne Center a number of shoppers admitted they were beginning to panic as time starts to run out.
"I forgot how close Christmas was so I'm panicking a little bit," said shopper Haven Noble.
"It's panic buying for the men because they're out of town," said shopper Tabitha Nelson.
"I'm in a panic mode because I'm a last minute shopper," said Doreen Allen.
Taneisha Whitlow says she's not panicking because she got all her shopping done two weeks ago. She admits she's been careful about what she spent.
"I spent a lot less this year...its the economy and they're not paying me enough at my job," she said.
Lyndon Brown says Christmas is going to a bit more expensive this year.
"I have a girlfriend now so I have to get a bit more and then stuff for my mom and my family so I'll be dropping some money for sure," he said.
"I actually spent more money this year than last year," said Joe Herzog, who is looking for a job.
