LEBANON, OH (FOX19) -
Lebanon Police say they found a man and his two daughters who had not been seen since Thursday morning.
Police say Bryan S. Hampton, 38, left his house with his two daughters, ages 2 years and 11 months around 10:30 am. Thursday. Hampton told his wife that he was going out for milk, then disappeared.
Police have received and verified tips Hampton was in the Hamilton area Thursday night, however they do not know if the children were with him.
Hampton was located at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Beavercreek asking for money. When police arrived they found Hampton changing his 11-month-old's diaper. Officers at the church described Hampton as "tense but cooperative." Police say the children appeared to be in good condition and had been recently fed. Hampton was taken to the Evergreen Police department for questioning and no charges are pending at this time.
Bryan S. Hampton has an extensive criminal history to include crimes of violence and drug abuse. Hampton's wife said her husband returned a Christmas gift intended for their children to a toy store in Dayton earlier Thursday. She also confirmed her husband was in contact with people in the Dayton area but no specific area or address was known.
Police are attempting to locate Hampton and confirm the welfare of the children. If you have any information, please call the Lebanon Police Department at (513) 932-2010.
