Colerain man arrested for shooting wife after fight

COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Police have arrested a man accused of shooting his wife after a fight Thursday night.

Police were called to the 8700 block of Cranfield Dr. at about 7:30 Thursday night. When they arrived at the scene, they found Shameka Williams, 29, shot three times. She was transported to University Hospital where she underwent surgery and is in critical, but stable condition as of Friday afternoon.

Police believe Shameka's husband Gianni Williams, 31, shot her after they got into a fight. Williams has been charged with attempted murder and will be held at the Hamilton County Justice Center to await arraignment.

A 45 caliber semi-automatic pistol used in the shooting was found in the home. Williams surrendered himself to Cincinnati Police just hours after the shooting.
