COLERAIN TOWNSHIP, OH (FOX19) - Firefighters were called to the 4500 block of Colerain Avenue Friday night to respond to a two-alarm fire. Firefighters say the apartment building looked normal from the outside, but when they entered, they saw heavy smoke on the 5th floor. The building is six stories with 44 units and 80 occupants.
The fire started on the 5th floor and moved to the 6th floor.
Firefighters made an aggressive attack on the interior of the building putting out the fire and rescuing occupants from the 4th, 5th and 6th floors.
No serious injuries have been reported at this time. The cause remains under investigation and firefighters say the apartment complex has $100,000 in damages.
