HEBRON, KY (FOX19) - The Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International airport was evacuated on Monday due to the sounding of a fire alarm.
This happened around 7:30a.m. when the alarm went off unexpectedly and Terminal 3 was evacuated.
At approximately 8:00a.m. the okay was given to allow passengers back into the sterile (screened) area of the terminal.
According to an airport spokesperson, those evacuated will have to go back through airport security. Flights that were scheduled to take off around the time of the evacuation were delayed.
The back up will cause later fights on Monday to also be delayed.
