CINCINNATI (FOX19) - The FOX19 StormTracker weather team is tracking a winter weather system making its way to the Tri-State.
Rain is turning to a wet snow as temperatures fall across the area.
Most of the snow will fall with temperatures above freezing, so look for a slushy situation rather than a slippery situation.
Only minor accumulation is expected due to the relatively warm ground, and quickness of the system moving through. We could see snow on grassy surfaces, but roads should remain mostly clear.
Snow will end as flurries Wednesday morning but as the snow tapers the temperature will drop below freezing. There could be slick spots on bridges and viaducts Wednesday early morning.
Nancy Wood with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says crews are on alert and ready to prepare roads for possible slick spots.
